Rob McElhenney has posted a new Tik Tok video in which he encourages his It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars to cheer on Wrexham AFC.

The club will start their season in the National League this afternoon with a game against Solihull Moors.

In the humorous video released on TikTok – the club’s new sponsors – Danny DeVito is seen asking: “Now you want it? Doing it now? Doing it right now?” before unenthusiastically adding “Go Wrexham.”

Glenn Howerton asks “Why are you making me do this?”, Caitlin Olson makes bird noises, co-star Charlie Day asks “What am I getting paid?” before Rob McElhenney finishes with “Up the town! Go Wrexham!”

The takeover of Wrexham AFC by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has attracted worldwide attention since news of their interest in the club was first revealed in September 2020.

A decade ago, the club was taken over by Wrexham Supporters’ Trust, after years of financial difficulty in which it racked up huge debts and faced the very real possibility of going to the wall.
