Today will be another hot and sunny day in Wales – but “thundery showers” are expected to roll in tomorrow morning, the Met Office has warned.

Yesterday Wales reached a high of 22C at Trawsgoed, Ceredigion. The west of Wales is expected to enjoy some of the sunniest weather in the UK again today but the weather will take a turn for the worse tomorrow.

Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said that today there would be “lots of fine, sunny weather around – if anything, temperatures up a degree or so on Monday”.

However, he warned that “thundery showers will start to push in across south-west England and Wales by Wednesday morning”.

Temperatures for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are likely to be in the high teens.

The window of good weather comes at the end of the wettest May on record in Wales.
