Watch: Neville Southall wipes the floor with Nigel Farage

Neville Southall with Nigel Farage

Neville Southall is arguably Wales’ greatest ever goalkeeper and since hanging up his gloves it’s fair to say he’s no slouch when it comes to politics either.

His appearance on the GB News Talking Pints show filmed in Llandudno last week was a case in point.

Big Nev left the show’s host Nigel Farage floundering with his forthright support for the most vulnerable in society and his withering assessment of the Tory Government and in particular former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who he described as “dangerous”.

The warning signs were there for Mr Farage straight from kick off as the former Everton star told him that he disagreed with 99.9% of what had been said earlier in the show.

He went on to call for more support for struggling people, drawing a load ovation from the audience.

“The way we should be looking at society is how we treat the most vulnerable at the moment.

“We don’t treat them very well.”

“Electric has gone up. Everything has gone up and what are they going to do for them?

“Nothing. There are going to be people dying this winter and the people in power don’t give a monkeys!”

Southall also took aim at the former US President Donald Trump, who Mr Farage had campaigned for in his failed bit to retain the presidency in 2020, and Boris Johnson who he said “was always going to mess up”.

Neville Southall says it as he sees it. I still can’t believe Welsh people fell for Nigel Farage’s bigotry & lies. This is an English imperialist of French Huguenot descent who stood 7 times a Tory candidate in England and failed each time? And because he drinks & smokes made him a working class hero to those valley communities now suffering his Brexit dividend meaning it has not only added over £200 to their household food bills according to the London School of Economics , making the cost of living crisis worse but allowed the Tories to level down of… Read more »

Big Nev was excellent, as he always is on politics and society. Farage is the archetypal English Imperialist, who looks down his nose at Cymru and the Cymry, but who plays the EnglandandWales game to good effect. Fascinating to hear from several sources that a lot of Tory voters are thinking of supporting Farage’s party at the next General Election. If true, he’ll feel reinvigorated be and will continue to spew forth his divisive Brit Nationalist garbage for years to come.

Big Nev’s a really nice bloke and nails it here.

That never-elected Frog-featured Fascist Farage is a racist homophobic bigot who lined his own pockets from the destruction of the UK and thinks that the most vulnerable are given too much already and that the rich shouldn’t be taxed more.

He’s pure, loathsome scum who should be locked up along with most #ToryScum.
