Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel “has no choice but to finish the job and complete the defeat of Hamas”.

He was speaking to foreign media in Jerusalem and defending a planned military offensive.

He asserted that “our goal is not to occupy Gaza, our goal is to free Gaza”.

Mr Netanyahu is also pushing back against what he calls a “global campaign of lies” as condemnation of the plan grows both inside and outside Israel.

He said there is a “fairly short timetable” in mind for next steps in Gaza.

Goals

The goals there, he said, include demilitarising Gaza, the Israeli military having “overriding security control” there and a non-Israeli civilian administration in charge.

The prime minister also said he had directed Israel’s military in recent days to “bring in more foreign journalists” — which would be a striking development as they have not been allowed into Gaza beyond military embeds.

Mr Netanyahu again blamed many of Gaza’s problems on the Hamas militant group, including civilian deaths, destruction and shortages of aid.

Truly sickening.

So he really thinks that by flattening Gaza it will destroy Hamas rather than being a huge recruitment drive for the terrorist organisation? Only a two state peace deal will lead to the end of Hamas.

So if his “goal is to free ghazza”, why don’t we look at how he created his own monster. Hamas had already released on August 18, 1988 their covenant stating their destructive intentions towards Zion. Despite this covenant statement, Netanyahu still allowed their funding to continue from Qatar. Indeed Netanyahu said in August 2018, “in coordination with security experts to return calm to (Israeli) villages of the south, but also to prevent a humanitarian disaster (in Gaza). I got the following from CNN Dec 2023: “Major General Amos Gilad, a former senior Israeli Defense Ministry official, told CNN the plan… Read more »

If warmongers had to lead from the front line I doubt whether there would be any wars. It’s so easy to send other people’s children to war and then lead from afar. Warmongers should be arrested and incarcerated for even thinking of attacking another nation. Complete nutters. 99.99999% of people want to live peacefully but still obey one man’s decision. Crazy!!
