Bilingual Labour leaflets meant for Wales have accidentally been delivered to Gaelic speaking areas in the north of Scotland.

Twitter users in the country posted images of the leaflets they had received through the post, which read ‘Vote Welsh Labour to bring people back together’.

One user who had received the leaflet said that it made sense as “Jeremy wants to focus on local issues”.

Green MSP Finnie said: “Big fan of the Welsh language – canan uabhasach math – seems Scottish Labour are keen to promote it too, by this leaflet, across Highlands and Islands.”

This is not the first time Labour have confused Wales and Scotland – they had previously been criticised after accidentally using footage of Snowdonia in an advert about Scotland.
