‘Those poor people of Wrexham’: Hugh Jackman tells fans to ditch Ryan Reynolds
Hugh Jackman has called on Wrexham AFC fans to ditch Ryan Reynolds.
In the latest episode of the joke feud between the two friends, the Australian X-Men star told supporters that the Deadpool actor and club co-owner was a “nightmare”.
He has previously threatened to buy a football club to defeat Wrexham AFC.
According to Jackman there isn’t a “second of any day of the week” when he doesn’t think “those poor people of Wrexham”.
In an interview with Heart News, he said: “I love you Wrexham. I really really feel bad for you.
“It’s like you’re in the middle of like the worst nightmare of all time because somehow money’s come in and attention’s come in.
“But at this point in the season you’ve realised what a nightmare you’ve entered. I’m in the same nightmare.
“So, because of Ryan I can’t ever wear your jersey until he’s left, but trust me in my heart I feel for you.
“There’s not a second of any day of the week when I don’t think ‘those poor people of Wrexham. That poor town. That poor football team’. I’m so sorry for you. That’s from my heart.
“Wrexham, come on. Wrexham let’s get a petition going. Can we get rid of your owner? Rob’s fine. Rob’s funny. Get rid of Ryan.
“Trust me, it’s like a weed in the garden. You’ve gotta get it out. I did one movie with him 20 years ago. I cannot get him out of my life. Trust me, get him out.”
