Video of Welsh Conservative leader speaking at the rate of a ‘horse race commentator’ goes viral online
A video of the Welsh Conservative leader delivering his manifesto commitments at an incredible speed has gone viral online.
Andrew RT Davies was compared to a “horse racing commentator” after attempting to get all of his pledges out before the end of a BBC interview.
He was speaking to Dan Walker of BBC Breakfast before the launch of the Conservatives’ manifesto for the Senedd elections on May 6.
Andrew RT Davies starts off at a canter but by 35 seconds into the interview is speaking at a rate of an auctioneer.

His fast delivery amazed some on social media, with Alex saying: “Betting all my money on Holyhead Freeport, that horse has been in great form.”
Ryan Peteranna added: “The bookies have Union Highways at 2:1.”
Simon Brown asked: “Did the A40 have it by a nose or was it a photo-finish?”
Kernow Drew added: “Wow. He really takes off at 34”, doesn’t he!? Full marks for delivering his key messages, but he might be remembered more for how he said them, rather than what he said.”
