Video: A closer look at Ceredigion as Plaid Cymru and the Lib Dems do battle

Nation.Cymru Editor Ifan Morgan Jones takes a look at the constituency of Ceredigion.

In 2017 there were only 104 votes in it as the seat flipped from the Liberal Democrats’s Mark Williams to Plaid Cymru’s Ben Lake. Who will be victorious this time?

A few points. Fife North East is another Nationalist / Liberal Democrat super marginal with the SNP having a majority of 2 over the Liberal Democrats in 2017. It has been estimated that in 1979 under the current boundaries, Ceredigion would have voted Conservative by possibly the same margin as Plaid won the seat by in 2017.
