Wales will be in the same World Cup group as England, USA and Iran if they qualify, after being drawn in Group B.

Wales are in the play-off final for the World Cup after beating Austria last month. They will now face the winners of Scotland v Ukraine, with the match delayed to June due to the Russian invasion.

Whenever that game is played, the play-off final against Wales will take place a few days later.

Should Wales qualify they will play their first game against the United States on 21 November, and their second game against Iran on 25 November.

They would play England in Qatar on 29 November.

Alan Shearer told the BBC that England “will look at that and think it could have been a lot more difficult. I am sure he and his players will be happy with that.”

Other mouth-watering fixtures in the pool stage include Germany v Spin and Argentina v Mexico.

The opening game of the 2022 World Cup will be Qatar v Ecuador in Group A. The final will take place on 18 December.

Who goes on holiday to bump into the neighbour. If we get there, its a boring draw. Don’t need the negativity of the English media thanks.

And unlike the farce which was the last Euros where England had the luxury of playing all of their games but one at home in front of tens of thousands of fans. Wales was forced to travel 6,000 miles. Had its supporters banned. Played all its games away from home. Then had the football world supporting Denmark. But things will be different this time.… Read more »

Oh for god’s sake. Couldn’t we (or Scotland) have even had the possibility of one solitary thing ever that wouldn’t be instantly framed in terms of England and crapped up by all the usual dismissiveness, nastiness, and media bias. Just one thing. Once.

Starting to think the universe either hates us or is making a point. 😒

Of course we have to get to Qatar first. At long last people in The USA will know that we exist,as someone who spent a lot of time across the Pond it became almost a daily pastime trying to tell people that Wales was not a part of England
