A renowned mouth painting artist and former High Sheriff of South Glamorgan is set to stage an exhibition of portraiture featuring Welsh icons and those with links to Wales in the New Year to support NSPCC Cymru.

Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE, former High Sheriff of South Glamorgan, and mouth painting artist with the world renowned Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association, will stage the highly anticipated exhibition between 10 and 13 January 2025 (inclusive) at Clarendon Fine Art Gallery Cardiff.

Portraits

Artist, Businesswoman and Equality campaigner Rosaleen, has spent over three years working on eleven portraits, including His Royal Highness Prince William The Prince of Wales, Dame Sian Phillips and Russel T. Davies, along with a host of other famous faces.

Donations received, and net proceeds raised from the sale of prints, will support the valuable work of NSPCC Cymru in their quest to prevent child abuse and neglect.

“Worthy cause”

Commenting on the completion of the project, Rosaleen said: “The project is the culmination of over three years of enjoyable, but hard work, painting a range of personalities, all of whom have kindly allowed me to paint their portrait.

“The NSPCC Cymru (Cardiff Central) was the charity I chose to support in my Shrieval year, and I am delighted that Clarendon Fine Art Gallery in Cardiff has agreed to stage the Exhibition for such a worthy cause”

“Vital work”

Hannah Pitt, NSPCC Cymru Community Fundraising Manager for South Wales, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Rosaleen for choosing to hold this exhibition in aid of NSPCC Cymru.

“Featuring 11 portraits of Welsh celebrities, we know how much work has gone into this project and we are really excited to see it go on display.

“The money raised from the exhibition will help us continue our vital work keeping children safe from abuse and neglect.”
