A weekend of live music, festival fun, street food and entertainment is promised in Cardiff Bay with the announcement of the first-ever Tiny Rebel Dock Fest.

Taking place throughout the August Bank Holiday weekend (Friday August 28 – Sunday, August 30), Tiny Rebel Dock Fest will see The Dock, nestled on Cardiff Bay’s waterfront at Mermaid Quay, transformed into a festival-style destination, with live music throughout the weekend and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the last of the summer with friends and family.

The Tiny Rebel Garden will be taking over The Dock, giving guests the chance to enjoy Tiny Rebel favourites alongside Yma O Hyd, the brewery’s new Welsh lager.

And the party will continue into the evening with Tiny Sessions, as DJ Ethan takes to the decks from 9pm, accompanied by live saxophone and percussion for an energetic soundtrack to the bank holiday celebrations.

Guests can also expect festival-inspired street food, Tiny Rebel merchandise and giveaways, adding to the fun and giving visitors plenty of reasons to make a day – or an entire weekend – of it.

The celebrations will also include Tiny Dock Fest, a special free event for children taking place at The Dock on Sunday 30 August from 12pm until 2pm where families can enjoy an afternoon packed with entertainment, including face painting, carnival games, competitions, fancy dress and candy floss.

The Dock is run by independent pub company Croeso, which also runs The Philharmonic, Retro, Brewhouse, Blue Bell, and Daffodil, as well as community pubs The Discovery in Lakeside and The Bear’s Head in Penarth.

Steve Morris, General Manager of The Dock, said: “We’re thrilled to be joining forces with Tiny Rebel for the first-ever Tiny Rebel Dock Fest at The Dock. We’ve packed the weekend with everything you’d expect from a great festival – live music, DJs, street food, competitions, giveaways and, of course, plenty of Tiny Rebel.

“We’ve also made sure there’s something for the whole family, with our free Tiny Dock Fest on Sunday. It’s going to be a fantastic weekend, and we can’t wait to see The Dock buzzing with festival-goers!”
