Watch comic Jason Manford belt out Manics’ classic outside their gig

Telly star Jason Manford had a surprise when he left his gig  in Halifax last night – the sound of Manic Street Preachers playing next door.

Manford, who had performed at the Square Chapel Arts Centre, was ready to leave the venue after his show when he heard the Manics playing at the nearby Piece Hall.

So surprised and happy was he that he posted a video of himself joining in on the band’s set closer.

The comic who has starred in the West End showed off his vocal credentials with a belting singalong.

And who knows, if his evident love for the band his any measure we might see him popping up on a future collaboration.
