Welsh rock band Holy Coves release hard hitting, emotive music video ‘Hole’, a brooding, hypnotic rock anthem about struggling with mental health issues and having the strength to break the cycle of self destruction.

The Awen Rock Band return with the second single from their forthcoming new album Hiraeth. Following on from their first single Falling Down, Hole tells the story of being stuck in that small town, negative mindset. Repeating cycles of toxic relationships, drugs, alcohol and addiction. Feeling completely stuck, lost and pondering what it would actually be like to leave.

Singer-songwriter Scott says: “After my Mum passed away last year it got me thinking a lot about death, and what does all this really matter after we’re gone. We all don’t have much time here.

“We really do need to make the most of the time we have, and to make each day count. If something’s wrong we really have to look at ourselves, and try to understand that only we can break the cycle of hurt. Finally letting go of that victim mindset, and accepting accountability is the only way to truly move forward. There really is always a light at the end of the tunnel, however hard it may seem.

Hole is the hard hitting new single from Holy Coves, with depth, atmosphere that pulls you in from the start and a slow burning intensity that keeps on building.

Moody guitars with haunting tones and a vocal that carries real emotion from start to finish, there’s space which helps everything breathe, which carries the song into an explosive ending. The rock genre blending band combine influences such as Queens of the Stones Age, The Walkmen, Strokes and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. This really is a recipe for something special.

Eagerly anticipated new album ‘Hiraeth’ is out Friday, August 14th 2026 released via the bands DIY record label, Snowdonia Records.
