The Met Office have warned that heavy rain is likely to produce some disruption this evening and overnight.

The yellow weather warning applies to all of the north and south west of Wales and well as the south east.

“A band of heavy rain, accompanied by strong and gusty winds, will move eastwards across Wales this evening,” the Met Office said.

“20-30 mm of rain could fall in a few hours with as much as 40-50 mm in the north-western parts of Wales.”

The Met Office warned that a few homes and businesses could be flooded, bus and train services could be affected with journey times taking longer, and that spray and flooding on roads will make journey times longer.

Those impacted by floods should phone Natural Resources Wales on 0345 988 1188. Households can check if they are at risk of flooding here. They can also sign up to receive flood warnings.
