Man says he’s ‘OK’ after being captured on TV falling down pub stairs following Wales match
A man has said that he’s OK after being captured on television falling down the stairs of a pub after the Wales match.
Rhodri Morgans was seen in the background stumbling down the stairs of the Red Lion in Pontrhydfendigaid, Ceredigion while journalist Mari Grug interviewed Welsh fans about the match. The video later went viral on social media.
He was later tracked down by S4C Newyddion and said he was none the worse for having taken the tumble.

“Hello, my name is Rhodri Morgans and you may know me from the accident that happened on the stairs here in the Red Lion in Pontrhydfendigaid last night,” he said.
“The tweets and the videos have gone viral now, they tell me. I’ve had comments calling me the Man of the Match and to ‘Oscar-worthy performance’.
“But just to tell everyone that I’m OK, I’m healthy and everything. And the most important thing was the three points for Wales yesterday.
“So on we go for Sunday and for the final of the Euros.”
Goals from Aaron Ramsey and Connor Roberts gave Wales a 2-0 win over Turkey in Baku to put them on the verge of a Euro 2020 last-16 spot. They will next face Italy in Rome on Sunday.
