The next march for Welsh independence will take place in Wrexham in April next year, All Under One Banner Cymru have announced.

The march will be held in the town in the north-east of Wales on the 18th of April.

However, AUOB Cymru are organising another event before then, they said.

Marches in Cardiff, Caernarfon and Merthyr Tydfil have attracted 3,000, 10,000 and 5,000 marchers respectively.

A YouGov poll held this month projected that 31% would support Welsh independence if a referendum was held today.

Over 40% of people in Wales would support independence if it meant the country could stay in the EU, the poll suggested.

Wrecsam is a good choice. They also have a very committed local Plaid Cymru branch who do a lot of good work.

Looks like AUOB and Yes Cymru are following the Eisteddfod pattern: south, then north, etc.

Concerns me that the date coincides with Wrexham’s last home game of the season. Might prove to be a problem for many supporters.
