Over 18,000 people from 78 countries join Wrexham AFC membership scheme
A massive 18,226 people from a total of 78 countries have joined Wrexham AFC’s membership scheme for the 2021/22 season.
The new scheme was launched on March 26 and gave fans the opportunity to benefit from free membership, finished on May 31.
Wales is the home country of most of those who signed up, at 63.2%, while 22.8% come from England, 10% come from the USA, 2.2% come from Canada, 1.2% from Scotland, 0.6% from Northern Ireland. The rest, which comes in at 4.2% come from 72 other countries around the world.
Previous Wrexham Supporters’ Trust members account for 16.1% of those who signed up, while 83.9% were not.
Of those who registered, 75.7% weren’t previous season ticket holders, while 24.3% were.
The club says it will reopen the membership scheme in parallel with the release of tickets for matchday sale. For those not signed up before May 31, membership for the 2021/22 season will cost £10 for Adults and £5 for Juniors.
It also said that number of money-can’t-buy experiences were made available by the club and its Co-Chairmen, and that the lucky members who will receive these prizes will be randomly selected and announced in July.
