‘Penblwydd hapus i ti!’ Love Island contestants sing Welsh rendition of happy birthday for Liam
The Welsh language was heard on ITV today as contestants on Love Island sang ‘Penblwydd hapus i ti’ – or happy birthday in Welsh.
Bricklayer Liam Joseph Reardon was celebrating his 22nd birthday on the island as part of the seventh series, which began broadcasting in June.
The series was originally planned to air in the summer of 2020, but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Liam is one of six contestants who entered the island on the first day who still remain. Another 27 other contestants have so far left the show.
The Welshman has been savoring the attention from Millie Court, who prepared a special birthday brunch for him – after the villa was treated to a rousing rendition of happy birthday in Welsh.
Love Island’s Twitter feed also changed its own bio to: “Penblwydd hapus i ti.”
