Real Madrid head coach says Gareth Bale only out for ‘few days’ with injury
Carlo Ancelotti says Gareth Bale will be out for “a few days” with an injury he picked up in training at the weekend.
The Spanish media had reported that the Wales captain has a long-term injury to the hamstring of his right leg, but according to Real Madrid’s head coach the injury is not as bad as was initially feared.
The news is a boost for Wales ahead of a huge games against Czech Republic and Estonia in World Cup qualifiers next month.
Bale was injured in the last training session at the Bernabéu stadium last Saturday before Real Madrid’s game against Celta. The player had a medical examination on Monday which revealed the injury.
Spanish newspaper Marca shared images of the player leaving the stadium visibly limping and with a bulky bandage on the thigh of his right leg.
