Wales has both lowest rolling Covid case rate and highest rolling vaccine rate in the UK
Wales now has the lowest seven day rolling average coronavirus rate per head in the UK after it dipped under Scotland’s tally, new figures have revealed.
Wales also continues to lead the UK in terms of the rolling rate of total vaccinations given against Covid-19 per head.
In the latest data, the 7-day rolling average of Covid-19 cases in Wales was 150.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Wrexham was highest with 416.3 cases per 100,000 while Ceredigion had only 38.5.

25,236 vaccine jabs were also recorded today, meaning that Wales vaccinated 800 in every 100,000 people.
15.99% of the population aged 18 an over has now received a vaccine, or 403,463 people in total. In England the figure is 17.61%, 14.77% in Northern Ireland and 12.77% in Scotland.
Wales’ published figures are up to five days behind those for England due to a quality assurance scheme run by Public Health Wales which double-checks GPs figures.
Wales still leads the UK in terms of the rolling rate of *total* vaccinations given against #COVID19 per head.
The nation has given out the lowest number of second doses per pop compared to other UK nations though… But those are meant to be given out 12 weeks after the first. pic.twitter.com/Bcb8vvtnug
