Wales rolling out Covid-19 jabs at almost twice the rate of other UK nations

Wales is currently administrating Covid-19 jabs at almost twice the rate of other UK nations, according to the latest vaccination figures.

The rolling 7 day average in Wales is 0.9 jabs per 100 people, compared with between 0.6 and 0.4 in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

562,995 new administered doses were logged across the UK yesterday.

Meanwhile, ten more people have died with coronavirus in Wales yesterday, taking the total to 5,452 deaths with Covid.

Another 217 cases have also been reported, taking the total number of positive tests to 206,405. The seven-day coronavirus case rate in Wales is currently 39 cases per 100,000 people.
