As far as I recollect if VAR had existed in 1966 then the result could have been different. For the Denmark match we had VAR but it wasn’t consulted when a disputed penalty was awarded to England. So England benefit whether or not VAR is operating!,

I’d have no problem with the English football team winning Euro2020 (not that I’ll be supporting the team) if it were not for blanket cover of the subject across the UK for months if not years afterwards. I am not English and do not want programs constantly cancelled and repeated replays.
