Ibrahim Abdi, one of the co-ordinators of the mural project said: “It’s a lasting tribute to a Cardiff City legend whose impact on and off the pitch brought pride to our city and beyond.
“This project celebrates resilience, unity, and community spirit in Cardiff. We’re bringing together football family, creatives, youth, and local residents to honour Sol’s legacy in a meaningful way.”

The anniversary of his death was marked during the Bluebirds’ recent home match with Plymouth Argyle.
The club put out a statement at the time which read:
This weekend marks one year since we sadly lost City legend, Sol Bamba.
