Portrait of Welsh MMA fighter Brett Johns is painted with his own gloves
A portrait of Welsh MMA fighter Bret Johns has been created using his fighting gloves as brushes.
The painting has been created by artist Nathan Tyburn with a limited number of prints being auctioned off to raise funds for Shelter Cymru.
He created his latest celebrity portrait by donning a pair of Brett John’s fighting gloves, dipping them into paint and using them as brushes.
Brett Johns is a professional MMA fighter from Pontarddulais who has a professional record of 17 wins and three losses.
He tweeted:
A million people in Wales are affected by the housing emergency. A million people. 1 in 3 of us
Everyone should have a home!
Proud to be apart of this amazing project with the talented @NathanWyburnArt & @ShelterCymru

Weird
It’s just the latest in a series of weird and unusual creations by the Welsh artist.
In the past, he has used everything from toothpaste, beans, motor oil and soil to create art with his unique works having been featured on This Morning, Blue Peter and The Jimmy Fallon Show.
Nathan Wyburn is just one of many artists who have contributed work to the 2021 Shelter Cymru Art Auction.
The charity provides independent advice, advocacy and legal support for anyone facing housing problems.
Last year they helped over 16,000 people with a range of homeless and accommodation issues, including 5,525 households with dependent children.
