How much are people willing to pay for a bottle of gin from Ryan Reynolds at auction?

A bottle of gin from Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds is being auctioned to raise money for a hospice.

The Deadpool actor, who has recently been given the green light to take over Wrexham AFC along with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, sent the Saith Seren a Welsh language hub and community pub in Wrexham, three cases of the premium Aviation Gin in which he has a business interest.

The gin has gone down well with the community pub, and it decided to auction off a bottle to raise money for Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham.

The bottle is up for grabs on lot 49 on the auction site bidonit.net. The highest bid stands at £400 and the auction ends in six days.

On the website, it says: “This special Gin is being talked about everywhere, why not own your own bottle! ‘Aviation Gin’ which features an adventurous blend of spices from around the world, has kindly been sent to Saith Seren by Ryan Reynolds himself.

“Saith Seren have decided to donate a bottle to our Christmas Auction with the letter sent from Ryan to raise some valuable funds for the Hospice.”

 

‘Save one’

Nightingale House said: “Fancy winning a very special bottle of gin!? Huge thank you to @SaithSeren for donating a bottle of @AviationGin gifted by @VancityReynolds to our online auction raising funds for hospice services in #wrexham community – look for lot 49.”

Marc Jones, a Wrexham County Borough Councillor who helps run the pub, said: “£400 raised for @NightingaleH hospice so far with just one bottle of @AviationGin and a note from @VancityReynolds. A lot of history in a little bottle.”

The cases came to the Saith Seren with the message: “To the folks at Saith Seren: Some for you and some for me. Hopefully see you soon – Ryan Reynolds.”

When she arrived at the Saith Seren and saw the cases of gin, Wrexham local Carrie Harper, and Plaid Cymru candidate for the list seat of North Wales in May’s Senedd election, said: “So @SaithSeren has had an ‪@AviationGin delivery from ‪@VancityReynolds! Can’t wait to welcome you and @RMcElhenney to ‪@wrexham soon, your table is reserved, can’t promise there’ll be much Gin left though.”

Reynolds responded with: “Save one for me and see ya soon.”
